What is love?
What exactly is love? Is it just sexual attraction? Or is there more to it. If the social pressure and rules and taboos and religious beliefs are lifted and there are only raw untainted unmanipulated and unmanipulative human beings left, what would love mean to them?

Yes, I agree and i also agree that i was quite myopic in asking the question, as far my context for the question was concerned. You answered precisely to what i was thinking. But i think there is more to love than that. I think it is more sublime. When a parent looks at their kid i doubt cost benefit and reproductive success strategies has anything to do with it. I guess at some level, love is pure adoration, selfless, without expecting anything back ( Is that really possible!?). Adoration of something seen in the one being loved. Adoration at its heights, that the one being loved is always put ahead of one who loves.
So, then what, mutual love is whimsical? a perpetual dead lock situation? Fuck!
Charan, i guess it kind of depends on the perspective, what one sees is what he looks for.
P G Pannaparatte ( eternal bliss when i call you that :}), Could you please rephrase your question so that uneducated souls like my humble self could make sense of it?

So what is the conclusion? Love is not real? It is made up. It is forced on us and is not natural ?
